New Here?

Hello and welcome to the Parish of Belper! Whatever your background or circumstances, you are always welcome in God’s great big family! Here are some bits of info that you might find helpful to get started, but don’t hesitate to get in touch at any point if you have any questions!

Our Team
We’re really lucky to have a team of three different churches in this Parish: St Peter’sSt Mark’s, and St Swithun’s, who are all part of the Diocese of Derby in the Church of England. Our three churches have different communities and ways of worshipping, but our ministry team works together so that everyone feels.

Sundays
Like most churches, our three have services every Sunday where people gather to pray, explore the Bible, sing songs, and journey together. Just come as you are and you’ll be made very welcome at each of the three churches! Children’s activities are usually available at St Peter’s and St Mark’s.
· St Peter’s starts at 10am, and blends the old and new (also livestreamed).
· St Mark’s starts at 10am, and is fairly informal.
· St Swithun’s starts at 11am, and is fairly traditional.

Exploring Faith
We all ponder big questions from time to time about life and meaning, but don’t always have safe spaces to ask them. In this Parish we run short-term groups twice a year designed for people to explore these questions and learn a bit more about the Christian faith. Our next one is Alpha which begins in October – please get in touch if you’d like to know more.

Groups
Intrinsic to Church is our sense of community and companionship. We have all sorts of groups that build community across the Parish: activity groups like gardening and crafting, prayer and Bible groups, groups for kids and teens, and much more. Have a look here and see what you might like to join in with!

Events
Our Parish diary is full of different events, from coffee mornings to concerts. Take a look at this page which tells you what’s happening this month, and feel free to come along!

Communication
To receive all the latest updates, you can follow us on Facebook and Instagram, sign up to our weekly email newsletter, or contact us if you have any questions. Our churches also have freebie faith resources like books and leaflets, so feel free to pop in and take a look.

We look forward to getting to know you!
